Twitter – why, exactly?

For those of you who don’t yet know about Twitter, it’s a free social networking service that allows you to send and read other users’ updates (aka tweets). A place where you can say things, ask questions, help friends, network, and so on.

Why’s this important? Do you really need another social network piece of nonsense to fill up your life? The simple answer is probably not.  But, and I say this because there are a lot of small business owners receiving this email, it does have a lot of potential for business
use. Given this, and no one really knowing where Twitter will go other than it’s very popular with lots of People Who Make Things Happen, it’s probably sensible to grab your twitter name whilst you still can. I’d recommend getting your personal name and your business name, just the same as buying your .com domain name about 8 years ago. Get it at www.twitter.com, then follow us at www.twitter.com/onlinepa
